Tanner Rutledge is a horror fiction and nonfiction writer. With a background in writing for magazines and industry publications, Tanner eventually decided to focus on his first love: crafting spine-chilling fiction.

Growing up, he loved watching B-horror movies and slasher films with friends. Their conversations and late-night frights sparked his deep love for the genre. Tanner writes adult and middle-grade horror, creating captivating and terrifying stories.

He started Killer Prose, originally called Writing Fright, as an audio diary to document his journey to becoming a professional horror writer. The podcast has since grown, offering insights into horror writing, interviews with industry experts, and a peek into Tanner's creative process.
